Indoor Fall Decor Part 2

Hi everyone, I'm finally finished with our indoor Fall decor, so I thought I'd hop on here and share some pictures with you. The previous Fall decor post already showed most of what I'd done, but I went back and switched things around.  I also created a "vignette" for the formal dining room.  I haven't showed you much of what I've done in there so in the pictures you'll get an early peek at the striped wall and new mirror.  Just FYI, this post is gonna be picture heavy, but then again, which of my posts isn't? :)

New Dining Room/Toy Room "Mantel"  

First thing's first, this is the new mirror I bought for the space last week:

If you follow my blog, you know I've been remodeling this room for a while now. You can see what it used to look like here.  I finished painting the striped wall last week, but the room STILL isn't quite finished.  

Speaking of the striped wall, here's a small glimpse of it in all its gloriousness:

Moving on to the vignette:

I LOVE IT.  Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I'm really happy with it.  It's my favorite of the three Fall vignettes.

So how did I achieve the look?  Well, I reused the white hydrangea stems we used to have in this room and I decoupaged some pie pumpkins (tutorial coming this week):

I found toile and Louis XVI chair scrapbook paper so I just had to use it to keep in line with the french theme I have going on in here.

I picked this ice bucket up at Home Goods a few weeks back.  I was only gonna use it to hold drinks for parties, but when I decided to decorate this toy storage system for Fall, I knew I could incorporate it somehow:

The little silver pumpkin I found on sale at Michaels. 

The two greenish-gray pumpkins I painted (another tutorial coming this week):

The silver candle sticks originally had a dark wood finish.  They weren't currently being used so I spray painted them a metallic silver:

I chose the B monogram for this pumpkin and painted it on, then I just made a bow topper.  I'll go into depth  about how I did this in the painting pumpkins tutorial.

I used the same toffy ribbon from the entry way to wrap a band around a plain white pumpkin: 

I thought it would nicely mimic the color and stripes on the curtain panels covering the shelves.

The two silver pumpkins are from Michaels.

Entryway "Mantel"

The vignette in the entryway received some sunflowers, small candles, acorns, and a cornucopia full of cinnamon smelling pine cones.

I think the sunflowers look better than the oak branches.  I didn't change the hurricane vases.

So what happened to the oak branches I originally had in the white pitcher?  They got sent to the shoe cabinet:

There was a big blank wall space above it before.  I think the branches do a good job covering it up, they just need more straightening and tweaking.

I used an extra vase from my collection for the branches, moved one of the candle cups over, and left everything else the same.

So there you have it.  Which is your favorite of the three?  Did you use traditional Fall colors this year or did you try something new?

**I guess I should add that we do have an actual mantle over our electric fireplace, however, it is crowded by the Hubby's 50" flat screen and PS3. Since we don't watch tv anymore now that he's gone (except the occasional movie or LSU game), I've considered getting rid of it...then I remember how much he loved it and I.just.can't.do it.  Ah well.
